Terms of Use
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms apply when you use JobDrop at jobdrop.xyz. By using JobDrop you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What JobDrop is
JobDrop is a free online noticeboard and directory. Customers post jobs and book openings, and businesses and taskers make offers, publish their availability and receive bookings. JobDrop is not a party to any arrangement between a customer and a provider. We do not employ providers, supervise their work, or hold or process payments. Any agreement for work or services is made directly between the customer and the provider.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use JobDrop for a business, you confirm you are authorised to act for that business.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You can browse and book without an account. To manage a business, claim a listing or invite staff, you need to sign in with an email code, a magic link or Google. Keep access to your email secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the staff you invite. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
4. Posting jobs and booking
- Describe your job honestly and accurately, including anything a provider needs to know about safety or access.
- A booking is a request to the provider for that time or offer. It is confirmed only when the provider accepts it, or as shown on the booking.
- If you can't make a booking, cancel or tell the provider as early as possible. Providers may set their own cancellation terms.
- Check a provider is right for your job before you hire them, including licences for regulated work such as electrical, plumbing, gas or building work.
5. Businesses and taskers
- Keep your profile, prices, availability and openings accurate and up to date. Only publish openings you can honour, and honour the price you show.
- You are responsible for holding any licences, registrations, insurance and qualifications your work requires, and for complying with all laws that apply to you, including the Australian Consumer Law, tax, and workplace health and safety laws.
- ABN, licence and insurance details you enter are your own statements. JobDrop does not verify them unless we clearly say so.
- You are responsible for the work you do and for how you deal with customers. Use customers' contact details only to deal with their job or booking, not for unrelated marketing.
6. Claiming a listing
Some listings are created from public business data and marked as unclaimed. You may claim a listing only if you own or are authorised to manage that business. We may approve a claim automatically (for example when your email domain matches the business website), or ask for more evidence. We may refuse or reverse a claim, or transfer a listing to its rightful owner. Businesses can ask us to remove their listing at any time by emailing [email protected].
7. Prices and payments
Prices are set by providers and agreed directly between you and the provider. Payment happens directly between you, outside JobDrop. Never pay a deposit to someone you haven't verified, and be wary of anyone who asks you to pay by gift cards, cryptocurrency or an unusual method.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post, including text, photos and logos. You give JobDrop a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share that content to operate and promote JobDrop, for example showing your listing in search results or on a shopping centre page. You confirm you have the right to post it and that it is accurate and lawful. We may edit or remove content that breaks these terms.
9. Things you must not do
- Post anything false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, offensive or illegal.
- Offer or request illegal goods or services, weapons, or drugs. Adult-only services may be listed only in a JobDrop section that is expressly enabled for them and in line with section 9A below. They are not permitted in ordinary jobs, profiles, messages, reviews or other sections.
- Scam, harass or threaten anyone, or ask for money in advance under false pretences.
- Post fake reviews or testimonials, or impersonate a person or business.
- Collect other users' contact details, or send spam or unsolicited marketing.
- Scrape, copy or overload the site, get around its security, or access accounts that aren't yours.
9A. Adult-only services and listings
JobDrop may make designated 18+ sections available for lawful adult service providers, adult venues, entertainment and retail. These sections are separate from ordinary provider search and are available only where JobDrop has expressly enabled them. At the date above, the adult-only listing categories are not open for publication or browsing; the Adults page is an information hub. Do not submit adult-only listings through another category or account.
- You must be at least 18 to access or use an enabled adult-only section. We may require sign-in and an appropriate age-assurance check before access. A self-declaration alone may not be enough. We may use proportionate checks, limit access by location, and refuse access where a check fails or cannot be completed. Any check must be handled under our Privacy Policy.
- Providers must be adults, act voluntarily, control their own listing and contact details, and comply with all laws that apply where they operate and advertise. You must not create a listing for another person without their informed consent and authority.
- Never post or request anything involving a person under 18, coercion, trafficking, exploitation, threats, non-consensual acts or imagery, or any other unlawful conduct. Do not publish explicit sexual images, intimate images, nudity, or graphic sexual descriptions on JobDrop.
- Follow local advertising and business rules. For example, Queensland law requires prostitution advertisements to use an approved form and prohibits describing the services offered; social escort advertisements must clearly say “non-sexual” or “sexual services are not provided” and use an approved form. Queensland guidance also requires social escort advertising to be clearly separated under its own heading. A listing being accepted by JobDrop does not confirm that it complies with those rules.
- Do not use reviews, messages or price reports to expose someone's identity, publish private or intimate information, threaten or harass anyone, make unsupported claims, or retaliate against a customer or provider. We may restrict reviews or price reports in an adult-only category and remove content or suspend accounts to protect people or comply with the law.
- Prices and provider details are user-supplied unless a specific check is clearly labelled. JobDrop does not endorse a provider or guarantee a service, price, qualification, licence, safety or outcome. Customers and providers make arrangements directly and are responsible for confirming scope, boundaries, price and applicable requirements.
Adult-only sections may be changed, limited or withdrawn at any time. We may request evidence, review listings before publication, remove content without notice, and report suspected unlawful or exploitative activity to the appropriate authorities.
10. Health and regulated services
Health practitioners must comply with AHPRA's advertising rules and their professional obligations. On JobDrop, health listings do not show testimonials or reviews, and no bidding is allowed on health services. JobDrop is not a medical service. In an emergency, call 000.
Family care (babysitters, nannies and au pairs)
Paid work with children in Queensland generally needs a current blue card. To be listed in Family care, or to send offers on family care jobs, a carer must enter their blue card number and expiry date, and must keep them accurate. Entering false card details is a breach of these terms and may be an offence. JobDrop shows the details a carer enters but does not verify them with Blue Card Services. Parents and guardians are responsible for choosing a carer: ask to see the card, check it is valid on the Queensland Government website, meet the carer first and check references. Don't post children's names, photos, school or home address in public job text. Families who hire a nanny or au pair may be an employer and are responsible for pay and conditions under Fair Work rules, and for any visa work conditions. If a child is in danger, call 000.
Shifts and job ads
Only businesses with an ABN can post shifts or job ads. By posting, the business confirms the role is real and that it will meet its obligations as an employer, including paying at least the minimum wage or the applicable award rate, and following workplace and anti-discrimination laws. Ads must show the hourly pay rate and must not ask applicants to pay anything, buy uniforms or kits, or provide bank, tax file number or identity documents before a written job offer. Ads must describe the work and the skills it needs, not the applicant's gender, age, appearance, religion or background (except where the law allows, for example being 18 or over to serve alcohol). Applying through JobDrop is free. Any employment is between the business and the worker. JobDrop is not a party to it and does not check pay, conditions or applicants. We may remove ads that break these rules.
Partner offers
Some pages show offers and search links from partners such as Viator (tours and attractions) and hotel booking, attraction ticket, car hire, airport transfer and eSIM sites we link to through Travelpayouts, business insurance comparison for taskers and businesses, and energy and internet comparison for people who are moving. These are labelled as partner offers and are never shown next to health listings. If you buy through them, JobDrop may earn a commission or referral fee at no extra cost to you. Partner offers are not advice: compare options and read the provider's terms and product disclosure documents before you buy. Bookings, prices, availability, cancellations and refunds for partner offers are handled by the partner under its own terms, not by JobDrop.
11. Safety
Use common sense when meeting people from the internet. Check identity and credentials, meet in public or let someone know where you are going, keep communication and payments clear, and trust your instincts. Report suspicious listings or behaviour using the report link or by emailing us.
12. Fees
Posting jobs, making offers, listing a business and booking are free: there are no lead fees, credits or commissions. Founding businesses keep the benefits we promised them when they joined.
Optional paid boosts
You can choose to pay to boost a job or a listing. A boost shows it near the top of the relevant lists with a "Featured" label for the number of days shown before you pay. The price includes GST where applicable. Payment is taken by Stripe on its own secure page, and JobDrop does not see or store your card details. A boost usually starts within a few minutes of payment. A boost is a placement, not an endorsement: it does not mean JobDrop has checked the job, business or person. Boosts can't be bought for health practices. If a boosted item is removed for breaking these Terms, the boost ends and is not refunded. Otherwise boosts are not refundable once they start, but nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including a refund if a boost is not provided as described. Contact us if something goes wrong with a payment.
13. Our responsibility
We work to keep JobDrop running well, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that every listing is accurate. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. To the extent the law allows:
- JobDrop is not responsible for the conduct of users, or for the quality, safety, legality or outcome of any job, service or payment arranged through the site;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; and
- where our liability can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
You agree to be responsible for losses caused by your breach of these terms or your unlawful conduct.
14. Suspension and removal
We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts and listings, if we reasonably believe someone has broken these terms or the law, or to protect users. You can stop using JobDrop at any time and ask us to delete your account.
15. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms as JobDrop changes. We will post the new version here with a new date, and significant changes will be highlighted on the site. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Questions or disputes: email [email protected]. We will try to resolve any issue with you informally first.
16. Optional provider connections
Only connect accounts you are authorised to manage. Connections are optional and subject to provider terms and availability. This pilot reads settings or summaries and does not create bookings, jobs or payments. Register checks do not prove ownership, licensing, insurance or service quality.
Google Maps discovery is subject to the Google Maps Additional Terms and Google Privacy Policy.
